Scout24 Expands Management Team

Berlin  / Munich, 19 October 2015 -  Scout24 AG (“Scout24”) has expanded the management team further. As of October 1st Richard Durnall (36) has taken on the freshly created position of CTO (Chief Technology Officer). He is responsible to CEO Gregory Ellis. At the same time, Dr. Michael Bütter (45) has taken up the position of Senior Vice President Legal/General Counsel and will be reporting to CFO Christian Gisy. He thus succeeds Hilke Herchen (40), partner at CMS Hasche Sigle, who had been acting as Senior Vice President ad interim for Scout24 since February 2015.

Richard Durnall has extensive experience in technology and, in the role of CTO, will be significantly advancing the technical capabilities and innovation behind Scout24’s services. Before joining Scout24, this internationally experienced manager was Senior Vice President of Engineering at SoundCloud, the world’s largest social audio platform. Previously, Richard was Chief Technology Officer for the REA Group and a Principal Consultant for ThoughtWorks, a leading global technology consultancy.

Before joining Scout24 Dr. Michael Bütter was the Chief Investment Officer, Chief Legal Officer, CCO and representative of the principal shareholder of the Ferrostaal Group. As a Member of the Management Board he was responsible for M&A, Legal, Compliance as well as operational projects and the successful exit. Previous to this Bütter was for six years a Member of the Executive Committee, General Counsel and CCO at the DAX company Deutsche Annington Immobilien SE (presently “Vonovia SE”). In this context he also led the company’s stock market flotation in 2013. Before this he was a partner at  the international law firm Lovells LLP (presently “Hogan Lovells LLP”), among others.
