We are looking for an empathetic engineering manager to support, guide, and inspire a team of software and systems engineers within our Platform Engineering organization. Platform Engineering is responsible for Scout24’s developer productivity, cloud infrastructure, and reliability landscape.
We are building an integrated suite of critical infrastructure products providing tooling and expertise to enhance the productivity of our developers at Scout24 by removing their need to be concerned about infrastructure. We have multiple teams developing this seamless experience in the cloud. These products include container platforms, developer experience tools, CI/CD, observability (metrics, logging, tracing) solutions and more.
What we need from you:
- Create a safe, inclusive, and equitable environment in which your team can thrive
- Collaborate cross-functionally, focusing on operability and reliability, and translate our platform vision into a roadmap your team can deliver on.
- Guide your team to deliver valuable products that are secure, reliable, and cost-efficient
- Help shape and influence the culture of our organization, as part of Scout24’s engineering management team
- Team-up with your recruitment colleagues to recruit engineering talent
What we need you to bring:
- A toolkit for building, leading and nurturing successful engineering teams
- A clear and effective communication style (written, verbal, visual) when articulating your ideas
- Experience as an SRE or building, shipping and operating foundational infrastructure, eg. traffic delivery or monitoring systems.
- A good understanding of cloud infrastructure, operations, and reliability to be able to lead technical and product decisions with your team
- Experience leading software engineering teams
- Go or Python knowledge is a plus
