We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with strong PHP expertise to join our dynamic team at Sprengnetter Property Valuation Finance GmbH. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing and evolving our order management system while working collaboratively with internal and external development teams. This position offers the opportunity to drive technical architecture decisions and contribute to the transformation of our software infrastructure.
What do we expect from you?
- Collaborate in joint development of Sprengnetter's order management system
- Ensure high-quality and scalable solutions meeting business requirements Work effectively within a Scrum team environment with internal and external developers
- Communicate regularly with development teams from Sprengnetter and Scout24 ecosystems
- Lead refactoring initiatives from monolithic applications to modularized, maintainable architectures
- Drive software architecture decisions
- Contribute to strategic technical planning
- Champion and live agile values and methodologies
- Ensure adherence to ISO 27001 and other security guidelines
- Meet compliance requirements throughout development
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of development work and technical decisions
- Conduct testing and debug issues
- Maintain databases and core software systems for optimal performance
- Work with both vanilla PHP and Symfony components
- Deliver robust solutions meeting technical and business objectives
What do you already bring with you?
- Minimum 5 years as Fullstack PHP Developer
- Strong expertise in PHP and Symfony framework
- Proven experience in agile software development environments
- Fluent English (mandatory), German B2 level or above (asset)
- Proficiency across all technology stack layers: database setup, backend programming, and frontend presentation
- Experience with MariaDB and database management
- Experience with version control systems (git)
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts
- Experience with distributed codebase environments
- Docker containerization knowledge
- Contribution to all software development stages (concept to mature products)
- Strong application of software development practices and design principles
- Understanding of security, compliance, and reliability requirements
- Implementation of best practices throughout development
- Hands-on experience with SOAP and REST API development (plus)
- Previous experience with Java development is not absolutely necessary, but is an advantage, as Java is Sprengnetter's main programming language and the order management system is to be transferred to Java in the future
- Experience leveraging AI tools for enhanced problem-solving and productivity (plus)
