Record-breaking wish tree campaign: Scout24 fulfills more than 350 children's wishes
The Wish Tree campaign mobilized not only the Berlin team, but employees from all companies in the Scout24 Group. From Munich to Hamburg to Cologne – gifts were purchased, lovingly wrapped, and sent to Berlin. The result: every single wish was fulfilled!
The gifts couldn't have been more different: while some children were happy to receive toys or practical items such as backpacks or headphones, others wished for shared experiences – such as a class trip to a cat café. Gift vouchers were also popular gifts: they allow young people to choose and shop for themselves, giving them a sense of independence.
This year, Scout24 collaborated with five social institutions: SchutzengelWerk with Lernengeln, Elisabethstift, Internationaler Bund Berlin (formerly KJWI Lichtenrade), Johann-August-Zeune-Schule für Blinde, and, new this year, the Mutter-Kind-Haus der Berliner Stadtmission. When the colourfully and lovingly wrapped gifts were handed over, there was great joy on all sides.
“The great thing about this campaign is that no matter which gift is ultimately chosen, you can be sure that the child will be delighted with it,” explains Maria, who was in charge of organizing the campaign. The logistical challenge was enormous—from coordinating the wishes to distribution and final delivery. Scout24 owes the smooth running of the campaign to the extraordinary commitment of everyone involved.
The wish tree campaign has long been more than just a pre-Christmas tradition at Scout24—it is a sign of corporate responsibility in action and shows what is possible when many people come together to do good.
