Over 1,000 housing offers for homeless people a year: Home Street Home reaches milestone

With its Home Street Home initiative, ImmoScout24 has been bringing landlords and Housing First organizations together since 2021. The platform has now surpassed the 1,000 housing listings mark in a year for the first time—a milestone for the initiative.

Since 2021, ImmoScout24 has been working on the Home Street Home initiative to help homeless people find their way back to a stable home. The principle is simple and effective: landlords can indicate with just one click that they are open to renting to homeless people. Housing First organizations throughout Germany are automatically informed about these housing offers and can start applications for their clients.

Milestone achieved: more than 1,000 housing offers a year

In October 2025, there were over 1,000 housing offers available on the Home Street Home platform for the first time. This figure shows that more and more landlords are willing to give homeless people a chance for a fresh start. Many Housing First organizations are actively using ImmoScout24 to find housing—with growing success.

Commitment beyond the platform

Scout24 supports the Housing First movement not only digitally. In November 2025, the company was the main sponsor of the European Housing First Partners Conference in Berlin. The sponsorship enabled around 40 people from Housing First organizations to participate in this important networking event, thereby actively supporting the German Housing First Association (Bundesverband Housing First Deutschland e.V.).
