Rowena Patrao appointed Chief Technology Officer of Scout24 AG

Munich / Berlin, 12 July 2021 Scout24 AG, the operator of the digital marketplace ImmoScout24, has appointed Rowena Patrao (45) as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Starting today, Patrao will assume overall responsibility for the technology department and will help drive the transformation of ImmoScout24 into a digital market network. Patrao will report directly to Tobias Hartmann, CEO of Scout24 AG. She will be a member of Scout24’s Executive Leadership Team.

Patrao has more than 17 years of experience in leadership and software development for start-ups and global tech companies, including Microsoft (Redmond and Bangalore) and Amazon (Seattle). Amongst other things, Patrao worked on initiatives for Exchange Server, Windows Media, Windows Phone and Bing Ads at Microsoft for over 11 years. She also helped lead development efforts for the release of Kindle Fire, Amazon's first tablet eReader. At VMware India, Patrao focused on transforming on-premise solutions to scalable, cloud-based architecture. Patrao was born in India and holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering.
