Berlin / Munich, 12 December 2018 – Scout24 AG, operator of the marketplaces ImmobilienScout24 and AutoScout24, is expanding its Management Board by two additional members. The Supervisory Board resolved to appoint Dr. Thomas Schroeter and Ralf Weitz to the Management Board. Both are experienced managers and have been jointly Managing Directors of ImmobilienScout24 since February 2018. Dr. Thomas Schroeter will assume the position of Chief Product Officer on the Management Board and will thus be responsible for the entire product development and marketing of the Group. As Chief Commercial Officer, Ralf Weitz will in future be responsible for all sales activities of the Scout24 marketplaces. Both have extensive experience: In addition to their role in the management of ImmobilienScout24, they are already responsible for product & marketing (Dr. Thomas Schroeter) and sales (Ralf Weitz) in cross-group functions.

Ralf Weitz has been with Scout24 for over ten years in various management positions. He played a key role in the development of the Scout24 Consumer Services division, which under his leadership has developed into an important growth engine for the Group. In it, the company bundles individual additional services, such as the brokerage of relocation services or construction and car financing. After studying economics in Berlin, Ralf Weitz worked, among other things, in international consulting.
Dr. Thomas Schroeter joined ImmobilienScout24 in March 2017 as a proven digital expert. The business graduate has many years of experience in the digital economy, both in the corporate and start-up environment. Previously, Dr. Thomas Schroeter was Chief Operating Officer Germany for eBay, the world's largest online marketplace, and Managing Director of ViA-Online GmbH. He was also co-founder and Managing Director of the voice portal bab.la, which was successfully sold to Oxford University Press in 2015. Further steps in his career were the Swiss bank Clariden Leu AG and the Boston Consulting Group in Munich.
