Scout24 adopts civic responsibility: donation campaign for flood catastrophe victims
The Scout24 Group has started a donation campaign in response to the flood catastrophe that has caused devastation in many parts of Germany. The initial donations collected at all of the Scout24 market places in Berlin and Munich and an initiative by employees and other supporters already amount to more than 20,000 euro.
Scout24, one of Europe's leading online marketplaces, has started a donation campaign for the victims of the 2013 flood catastrophe in Germany. Scout24 employees and other supporters can provide financial aid via the Scout24 campaign page on the betterplace.org donation platform. 100% of all proceeds will help finance the projects launched by "Aktion Deutschland hilft" and "Deutsches Rotes Kreuz e.V."
"Corporate citizenship is a firm component of our corporate culture. We want our donation to help in particular those people whose existence is now at risk due to the flooding", says Dr. Martin Enderle, CEO of Scout24 Group. The two corporate locations of Scout24 Group are very close to areas devastated by the flooding.
The situation in these areas remains tense even after the deluge has finally stopped. Some dikes are at risk of bursting their banks due to continuing water pressure. The donations will be used not only to ensure victims receive the medical treatment they need: from transport vehicle to cleaning agents and children's clothes, the donations will help get the things needed most in the devastated areas to the aid organisations quickly and with no bureaucratic red tape.
